Tax day always reminds me of that old Star Trek episode where a gentle and simple race of people on a planet are compelled through fear and threats of impending calamity to throw food and offerings into the mouth of a dragon looking beast. So another tax deadline over, and the beast satiated... for now. Land of the free my ass.

Just in case some did not know..
Per diem for that city in Colombia can be more than $400.00 / day That's tax free and is in addition to salary and other benefits.. and of course it is seven days a week working in country or not.
BTW, the per diem for Las Vegas I believe is a little over $100 / day. Seems small to me but could be.

uh oh... the "you don't care about the news" warning.
does that signal a day-by-day account of his life.. again.
To be fair, yes I understand that new listeners are here everyday and it is proper for Savage to repeat old stories. So scroll in lieu of scold this time, OK? :)
And of course the idea is that current events sell books.

I wonder if Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta gets per diem on his weekend trips to California? I wonder if like Biden he bills his aides and bodyguards for the time they spend on his property? They for sure get per diem and travel expenses.

Although he has disappointed me a few times re: things he voted for , overall I’d have to say that he is the best choice , which means Romney probably won’t pick him .
