Joe Kennedy III calls for ending ‘cheap oil’
The Daily Caller ^ | April 18, 2012 | Christopher Bedford

Posted on 04/18/2012 2:07:53 PM PDT by Timber Rattler

As gas prices continue to soar around the country, Joe Kennedy III, the Democratic candidate for Rep. Barney Frank’s seat, wrote an online letter to supporters calling for an end to “cheap oil.”

“Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama — they’ve all talked about the same thing: the need to wean ourselves off our debilitating dependence on foreign oil,” Kennedy wrote.

“The cycle that allows cheap oil to trump tough choices has to stop,” he continued. “Forty years is enough.”

Guy who’s been here five months explains how we do things to a guy who’s been here ten years.

Makes sense, right?

You mean like pinging the guy whom you're zinging?

This is great, they should campaign on this, explaining in detail how they can drive the price of gas up over $10/gallon.

When something is posted prior to 8AM California time, has it really been posted? A lot of us here in the west were in bed. When I first get to my browser I don’t go scrolling back to where I left off. It wasn’t in either my Breaking News or Front Page side bars.

I’m thankful he reposted. I wouldn’t have seen it otherwise.

Joe “I have no concept of the lives of the Peons” Kennedy III is richer than opossum shite; he hasn’t a care in the world. I, on the other hand, feel like I need a cigarette after each trip to the gas station.

What's he got to do with it?

You obviously were referring to Timber Rattler as the "guy who's been here five months." It is common courtesy to ping people about whom you are posting -- as I would expect a 1998 registrant to know and observe, particularly when preaching about FR traditions and rules.

‘Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama — they’ve all talked about the same thing: the need to wean ourselves off our debilitating dependence on foreign oil,” Kennedy wrote.’

I agree. So drill, baby drill here in the U.S. now.

What, I'm at a lunch counter looking out the window, I see a whack-job staggering down the street, I nudge the guy next to me and say "hey, look at that nutcase, what do ya think of that?"

And here comes pogo101 to explain: "hey, don't you know the proper rules of discourse, you've got to go over and tell that citizen that you said something about him to the guy sitting next to you?"

I guess Steely Tom doesn’t see anything rude about talking about someone behind their back, so here goes . . . :)

Hey, if you’re too ignorant to know the rules and common courtesies after 14 years, or too rude to observe them, then hey: It’s nice NOT knowing you, either way. Ta ta.

Be sure to reply. I just won’t be reading it.

Please commend to my attention any rule or tradition I "preached about."

Joe Kennedy wants to have private citizens sue factories and power plants the same way the ADA is a cash cow for lawyers.

What mr high and mighty is saying is that he wants poor people (not the blessed like him) to be forced into trains and only self important scum like him will be allowed private cars.

I’m thankful he reposted. I wouldn’t have seen it otherwise.

Perhaps then everyone should re-post everything as many times as it takes for you to see it.

Then they should post it a few more times just to make sure that
folks in Kamchatka and Ethiopia see it at a convenient time.

You inspire me. All articles should be re-posted every fifteen minutes, forever.

“wrote an online letter to supporters calling for an end to “cheap oil.” “

These Agenda 21 trash need to leave our country. Nothing of any value was created with their destructive mindset.

Never underestimate the ignorance and stupidity of the masses.

Not to mention, I have read that 54% of NYC households do not own vehicles.

Yeah, you're right, Joe. We proles all need to live like this where we won't need oil to get around (because we won't have cars)...

... while you and yours ride around in one of these...
