DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Attorneys filed a federal lawsuit against IHOP and a local franchise owner on Tuesday, claiming that the restaurant owners fired four managers across the Metroplex in 2010 because they are Muslim. The attorneys for the four managers said that their clients are still unemployed because of the damage done to their reputations.
The managers worked at IHOP locations in Plano, Burleson, Fort Worth and Arlington — all owned by Anthraper Investments.
“It became very clear to them that they were no longer wanted,” explained attorney James Vagnini, who represents the men in their lawsuit. “One by one, over the course of about four to five months, each of them was fired.”
According to the lawsuit, the managers had “performed their jobs without incident” for anywhere between seven to 14 years, enduring harassment about of their religion. “On 9/11, they would get an email from the owner of Anthraper Investments saying, ‘Lay low, it’s 9/11.’ Comments referring to Arabs as dogs. That Arab men don’t treat women fairly,” said Vagnini.
The lawsuit claims that the situation got worse in 2010. During a meeting, a new district manager allegedly said, “We’re going to let these people go and have new faces coming in.” By the end of the year, all four Muslim managers were fired. According to the lawsuit, each manager was being fired for a performance issue.

Having worked retail for most of my adult working career it is very common for a new DM to fire all the managers and start over. It makes zero difference if the manager is a good/profitable manager. They want their own team.
Maybe its not real ham, bacon and sausage after all??
Anyway, on the news this morning there was someone explaining that its legally OKAY for the city of Fort Worth not to hire smokers because there is no protection for that in this state.
Guess thats the reason I never Stopped there.

I would give more business to IHOP but they get robbed fairly regularly in FL.
At the Atlanta airport there is a duty free shop who had a muslim woman working there. All she was missing was the face shield.

Good point, why smell bacon being fried? I’m sure they’ve run into a lot of unhappy campers, people who recognize their ethnic roots, and make them liable and own the 9/11 landmark. I feel sad, but the one Muslim Manager I met at Best Buy, his attitude was like the Dictator of Syria or Egypt. The only reason he got the job was quota, and Affirmative Action.

That is one of the stupidest things that people do in business. Any district manager worth his salt will look over each store manager's store statistics, and use that alone as his guide as to who to fire and who to keep.
The old adage, "It's hard to find good help these days" is as true today, as when it was first uttered. Maybe even more-so, due to the average low quality of potential workers we're graduating from high schools and colleges nowadays.
You've got someone who runs a tight ship and pulls a profit out of a store every month, you keep him in place, and don't change a damn thing about his operation. That's if you've got a lick of horse sense.
So, let’s see.. It’s racist to employ someone because they are Muslim for anywhere between seven to fourteen years, and all of these stellar performers were unable to get a job in the intervening year to year and a half since they were fired.
So, the translated story is: managers who just floated along in their jobs for 7 to 14 years were canned when the chain introduced changes to the district, and the managers in place couldn’t cope with those changes. Now, after soaking up all 99 weeks of unemployment, they find themselves with few prospects - even more so since they sat on their rumps for a year and a half - a huge hurdle right now to getting hired as a manager.
So they sue, banding together ONLY those who were Muslim. All the other managers (who shockingly aren’t mentioned in this article, but I betcha they also were sacked) aren’t included, because this is a discrimination lawsuit.
Oh, hey, we come to the heart of it. Discrimination by Muslims. Who would have thought of that...
please if you are muslim return to the hell hole of your choice, that should be “your sign” that Islam is a putrid fake religion..

If...the above is true. They probably have a case. And it will be just another example of people acting stupid.
If it goes down like that....Fortunately it's not a city, county, or state..entity. Where the citizens get hosed for the antics and mistakes of dumbass gobment employee's.
If they were taking my order I’d ask them, “Can I get a side order of jihad with my pancakes, side order of dog (Obama-approved), and bacon...to go? Thanks!”
Even though I don’t eat pork (or dog) I’d still ask just to see the reaction on their faces! LOL!
