Lap 258 — Nine laps to go. Denny Hamlin leads Martin Truex Jr. by 7/10ths of a second. is Truex saving his equipment or just holding on? We’ll see!

Lap 255 — Joey Logano does the classy thing and lets Martin Truex Jr. by as easily as he did his stablemate.

Lap 254 — Denny Hamlin easily laps his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Joey Logano.

Lap 251 — The gap between Denny Hamlin and Martin Truex Jr. has shrunk to about half a second.

Lap 249 — Denny Hamlin’s best finish here at Kansas is a third, posted last spring.

Lap 267 — CHECKERED FLAG: Martin Truex Jr. tries one more time to get under Denny Hamlin in Turn 4, but Hamlin is able to hold him off for the win. It’s the second victory of the young season for Hamlin and new crew chief Darian Grubb.

Lap 265 — The move the last lap cost Martin Truex Jr. precious ground.

Lap 264 — Just a few car lengths now. Martin Truex Jr. dive bombs Turn 3, but bobbles off the corner.

Denny does it

Denny Hamlin overcame a dominant day by Martin Truex Jr. to notch his second win of the season, grabbing the checkered at Kansas Speedway.

my best finish of the season, and my first Freeper Fantasy league career win with an 2,3,7, 22 puts me in the winners circle!!

I had the top 3 qualifiers last week and forgot to switch my bench and would possibly have won last week with the finish. Things are looking up for the mofo99 team! :)

Sorry I had to bail on ya Norm but my grandson and his girlfriend showed up to dump some brush over the hill and then he helped me do some fence repairs. I haven’t looked at my score yet but I know I didn’t have a D9 Caterpillar with a rip shank for brakes. (or maybe I did)

Well I’m back and see that Hambone took it. Very Nice

As far as your jaunts into town it would seem as though it’s an eclectic meeting of some fine cars. Cheers to the high country of Colorado! :^)

Never saw so many carst with failed engines in cool weather. Hard to believe the the low gear caused all the issues...NASCAR is going to need to start throwing more phantom cautions. Without the “goers” it woulda been a boring race ‘kept for the last 30 laps.

Another race, another great save by Kyle Busch.

Last year the only luck Jana’s Raiders had was bad luck. This year I should be playing the stock market.

Bend had 88 degrees yesterday and 85 the day before. The locals celebrated Earth Day with a parade and maryjane smoke-in. We got sunburnt planting flowers and doing yard clean up. (No dog poop - good dog!) First heat of the year but it’ll be gone tomorrow and high’s in the 50’s are forecast by Wednesday. The Traeger Cornish Game Hens and AB Kobe beef hamburgers were excellent - I ate your serving.
