The picture was mentioned at the hearing by the Defense witness. I think this case is going to get tossed, period, due to his affirmative defense. No where is that mentioned in the charge nor was it part of the record underpinning the state’s charge.
Even the judge seemed a bit bemused as his body language shifted quite a bit.
I am sure the police also have pictures of the scene probably including the blood on the sidewalk where Zimmerman’s head was being smashed. Zimmerman was not just let go, but was taken in handcuffs to the police station for some five hours of questioning. I am certain there was sufficient physical evidence and likely witness accounts that convinced police Zimmerman did not murder Trayvon.
How did that Jewel guy in Atlanta (Olympics, I think) do when he was found not to be the perp? After being verbally (by people & press) assaulted and pummeled that he was the perp in an explosion.
Maybe GZ should make a quiet/undetected trip and stay with Mr. Jewel for a while. He filed lawsuits - did any of them pan out?

[Updated at 10:09 a.m. ET] O’Mara has called Dale Gilbreath, an investigator with the state attorney’s office, to the stand. Gilbreath is one of the investigators in the Martin shooting case.
Should we assume this is police evidence, taken with a responding LEO’s phone-cam?

Was the police onsite before the shooting?
NBC settled out of court with Mr. Jewel for major big bucks.
In regard to Zimmerman going to stay with Jewel...he passed away in 2007.
