Neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman has taken the witness stand during his bail hearing and apologized to the parents of Trayvon Martin for shooting their son. Zimmerman made the brief statement during Friday's hearing over whether he should be released on bail while he awaits trial on second-degree murder charges. Zimmerman told Martin's parents that he was "sorry for the loss of your son." He said he didn't know that Martin was 17 and that he was unarmed during their altercation in a central Florida neighborhood.

Damnable lawyer prefaced his questions with “after the crime”...

Any answer Zimmerman gave after that point implicitly admitted that shooting the punk was a crime.

I am thinking that this dude would be better off in solitary confinement for his own safety unless he is allowed to hide out in Belize until the trial.

He has already been charged with the crime of 2nd degree murder. This is what the lawyer is referencing.

My thought too. Why was Zimmerman’s lawyer not objecting to the way the question was framed?

If he could come to Texas, he would blend in and never be noticed, other than the name.

Not only that, where is the media attention for the young Knoxville, TN couple who were brutally murdered in the most heinous way possible by four black punks?

GOD I am sooo sick of the Marxist media in this country doing nothing but s##tstirring cases like this.

Charged. Not convicted. That’s why there is a trial. The damnable lawyer tricked him into buying into his premise that there was a crime.

Self defense is not a crime.

He just convicted himself.

He must have the worst lawyer in the world.

Any lawyer would have told him to just shut up or say he didn’t know nor care how old the kid was,or whether or not the kid was armed, the kid was trying to kill him and he was succeeding until the shot was fired. It was him or me.

That is self defense. Not I diodn’t know how old he was or that he wasn’t armed, which assumes if he had known he wouldn’t have shot.

Zimmerman just blew his whole case.

"Why was Zimmerman's lawyer not objectin......"

Mr. Zimmerman's attorney was not going to bug the judge by objecting to each of the gazillion spins, lies and inflammatory buzz words the prosecutor was spouting.

Why tick off the judge when the hearing was going well for the defense...and when the prosecutor's ACE witness, the lead investigator, unwittingly tilted the whole hearing with his bias, evasiveness, shiftiness and inability to remember anything?

In short, when you're ahead, keep your mouth shut. Attorney O'Mara did the right thing.

And his strategery proved correct with his absolute VICTORY today.

BTW, after watching that seedy, crafty, spinning, bumbling lead investigator, I can't get a certain song out of my head.....

"I try to remember
But my mind's in a blender
It's JELLO....."

Tra la la.....hi Hillary!

The crime was attempted murder. After the crime in which Trayvon Martin attempted to kill Zimmerman, the victim took the actions that he described in his testimony.

There was a crime, Trayvon assaulted and threatened Zimmerman.
