Cybill Shepherd Rants About 'War On Women'; Hypes 'Mother's Scared For Me' By Matthew Balan Created 04/20/2012 - 2:24pm

TV star Cybill Shepherd went on a radical feminist bender on Friday's CBS This Morning, touting that there really is a "war on women" manifested by the "attack on Planned Parenthood." Anchor Gayle King had to cut her off, as Shepherd inserted her diatribe at the end of the segment, but revealed her sympathies with her guest: "I think you're raising a good point. We just need more time to do it."

The far left actress made her devotion to the pro-abortion cause clear, and hinted that pro-lifers were so extreme that they would try to kill her: "Abortion is our constitutional right. We should keep it legal. And also, birth control should be available to everyone....I'm coming to lead the next march on Washington, and I'm not going to wear a bulletproof vest. My mother's scared for me." [audio available here; video below the jump]

The morning show brought on Shepherd during the 8:30 am Eastern half hour to promote her new TV series, "The Client List," which glamorizes prostitution. King glowingly congratulated her guest as the interview was ending: "Cybill, good to see you. You look great....Congratulations." The celebrity, who trashed Sarah Palin in October 2008, replied by forwarding the cultural left's talking points about conservatives' opposition to the Obama administration's abortifacient/contraception mandate:

Cybill Shepherd, Actress; Erica Hill, CBS News Anchor; & Gayle King, CBS News Anchor | NewsBusters.orgSHEPHERD: Thank you. I just want to say one quick thing-

KING: Okay-

SHEPHERD: About the war on women and reproductive freedom, including the attack on Planned Parenthood that- that, not only should- abortion is our constitutional right. We should keep it legal. And also, birth control should be available to everyone after [unintelligible]-

KING: Cybill, we really need more time if we're going to do that-

SHEPHERD: No- cut me off any time you want-

KING: Okay-

SHEPHERD: I'm coming to lead the next march on Washington, and I'm not going to wear a bulletproof vest. My mother's scared for me. This is an important thing-

KING: Okay. I think you're raising a good point. We just need more time to do it.

On Tuesday, the CBS morning newscast deferred to another left-wing Hollywood guest, John Cusack, who slammed the Obama administration from the left: "The excesses of the Bush administration...[The President] had a constitutional obligation to correct that, and I don't think they have, and I think that's deeply troubling....They've...continued that imperial presidency of the Bush administration."

Cybill Shepherd - such a great actress that lately (in the past 20 years or so), she's starred in.......

A moderately successful CBS sitcom which lasted 2 1/2 seasons, and from which Christine Baranski arguably emerged as the actual star.

Oh, and a documentary about an affair she had with Peter Bogdanovich when she was 19.

Such a good point...

Thank you.

Imagine the Republicans were going to demand 500,000 pre-born girls (many Black) would be destroyed each year, and that many of the 500,000 other kids that would be aborted, would also be Black.

Oh the calls for short ropes and high branches...

Isn’t it funny how these far left celebrities who love Planned Parenthood SO much have themselves, never been aborted..Abortion lovers themselves wish they were aborted, that is why they are so much in favor of abortion..oh and Cybil Shepard hasn’t done anything of value in as long as I can remember. Just another washed up hag

From Wiki:

Sexuality:

Shepherd has revealed her sexual curiosity and desire in various interviews about having a physical relationship with a woman. In 2006, in an interview about The L Word she said more than once that she was “turned on” by the woman-woman sex scenes: “If you look at what we know about men, women and our sexuality, a great majority of people are bisexual. So what’s wrong with that?”[20]

She also said in an interview: “I have wondered about lesbianism ... At various times in my life I wanted to be open to the possibility of having a woman as a lover. I am not actively pursuing it but it is not over yet.”[21] She has confessed to having a longtime crush on Salma Hayek and admits to having fantasized about her.[22]

Religious beliefs

Shepherd has described her religious beliefs as “a goddess-worshipping Christian Pagan Buddhist”.[23]

She has bigger and more important problems that she need to deal with...

UPDATE: On June 4, 2010, Shepherd-Oppenheim entered a pretrial diversion program in Pennsylvania that will require attending 24 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. Should he complete the program, the theft charges will be erased from his record.

Chances Are...he’s in serious doo-doo.

Cybill Shepherd’s 22-year-old son, Cyrus “Zack” Shepherd-Oppenheim, was busted early Tuesday in Philadelphia after allegedly swiping a number of items from fellow passengers on an inbound United Airlines flight.

The Moonlighting star’s spawn was taken into custody upon landing from San Franscico and charged with theft and receiving stolen property.

According to Philly’s finest, witnesses reported Shepherd-Oppenheim went through the carry-on bags of two sleeping travelers and pilfered a Canon digital camera, a leather makeup case, cash and a small travel bag.

Cyrus and his twin sister, Ariel, were born to Shepherd and her second hubby, chiropractor Bruce Oppenheim, in 1987. They divorced three years later.

No word yet on a court date.

I liked Moonlighting. Never saw any of her other stuff. I recall in some interview after Moonlighting was over on what her plans and goals were.

“Well, I have never had three guys inside of me at once - I’d like to try that”.

I turned it off and whereas before she was a pretty actress and former covergirl, now she was just a messed-up slut.

Looking at some of these posts, I’m surprised she hadn’t already crossed that off her “bucket list”.

When I was in high school, Cybill was the hottest gal on the silver screen - “Last Picture Show” and “Heartbreak Kid.” I later had the pleasure of working with her on a movie that I wrote, called “Seduced.” A great gal.

But I never paid any attention to her political opinions. Plenty of leftists in Hollywood...

Well she just elevated the dumb blonde stereotype ten fold.

If the brainless one wants to see a real war on woman go to China or any Mud-Slime country.

There is a war on minorities waged everyday in Planned Parenthood abortion mills. Maybe we will be lucky and all the Progressives will self abort seeing as they love killing babies so much.
