I read several of this man's books. He proved a formative influence in my early understanding of different branches of the Christian family.

Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your Lord.

Just got the NYT breaking news alert ... Charles W. Colson, Watergate Felon Reborn as Evangelical Leader ...
I saw the AP piece about Colson's death and it referred to him as one of Nixon's (Watergate) hatchet men.
That the man experienced a real jailhouse conversion and lead a truly remarkable life helping others means nothing to these scumbags.
You'd think he was the one who sold missile secrets to the Chinese or made secret deals with the Russians.

Feckin' commies.

Actually, he converted before going to prison, which is why he pleaded guilty. Any media reporting to the contrary is in error.

I note how the headlines have changed from “former Watergate”, to “former Nixon aide”..

I guess there has been some criticism of the media...

I read one of his books about the prison ministry. Seemed like a good man.

True to form, the AOL home page headline is “Watergate Figure, ‘Evil Genuis’ Dead at 80.”

If articles with headlines like this, or for that matter any anti Conservative/Christian article, is able to be posted under, I sure hope freepers take every opportunity to put their insights down for all the world to see and learn by.
