I too have read that Education majors have the lowest scores.
On the other hand, at my old school, the Elementary Education majors included some of the hottest girls one could imagine.
For decades, it is said that the widest street in the world is West 120th Street in New York City, which separates Columbia Teachers College from the rest of Columbia University. Columbia is--or was--known for its academic rigor, whereas its Teachers College incubated much of the "progressive" education philosophy that now permeates America's public schools.
