No coincidence. I was at the first Earth Day as a stringer for a conservative newspaper. The people on stage were mainly marxists and communists, with a few actually just leftist liberals, but not many.

THe “green movement” was born that day but it was a “watermelon movement”, green on the outside, red on the inside.
Legitimate people concerned with the environment got shoved aside by the marxists and it has been that way for decades, re Jeremy Rifkin and Van Jones, to name just a few frauds and commies.

Yep, Ira Einhorn, hippie and communist, and one of the founders of Earth Day. Though activists deny have taken to denying that he was a founder, there’s no denying that he was Master of Ceremonies at the first Earth Day extravaganza in 1970.
After his arrest for the particularly brutal murder of his girlfriend, Holly Maddux, in 1979, his bond was set at an exceptionally low $40,000.
Guess who his attorney was: Snarlin’ Arlen Specter, who was soon afterwards elected a Republican US Senator, negotiated the bail amount. He skipped out of the US shortly after being bailed out compliments of the billionaire Bronfman family. Shockingly, after his whereabouts were discovered, France ruled that Einhorn’s extradition would violate his human rights. It wasn’t until 2001 that France finally relented and extradited Einhorn to the US. He’s now in Pennsylvania state prison.
With all the scriptural argument in the article, “by their fruit ye shall know them” seems pretty relevant.
I HATE EARTH DAY. It usurped my birthday. Every year I must share it with this stupid holiday that means nothing, just a way for people to feel betterr about themselves. But ... By the way, happy birthday to me right now on the East Coast!
And then fled to Ireland and France where he was supported by other women for over 20 years while his poor GF's body dripped through the storage closet where he left her in the trunk. The attorney who got him out on bail so he could flee was Arlen "Scottish Law" Spector. He was convicted in abstentia.
