By all means, let us apply “insurance” principles to climate change. You don't pay your insurance — your house is allowed to burn. You don't pay your climate change “insurance”; you suffer the consequences.

The key is to allow us “deniers” the choice of opting out of paying the climate change “insurance” fees. We don't pay for: “cap and trade”; carbon taxes; offsets; subsidies to “green energy”; subsidies for electric cars; grants to “climate scientists” for bogus research; anti-”global warming” propaganda campaigns; etc.

If I could get out of paying the fees; I'd take the chance that “global warming” will burn my house down.
