Romney Wins in Rhode Island and Connecticut Primaries
By Michael O'Brien Updated 8:21 p.m. ET - Mitt Romney won the Connecticut and Rhode Island primaries on Tuesday, putting him on the path toward the general election, and allowing him to tend to unfinished business in the Republican primary.
Facing no meaningful opposition in Connecticut, Delaware, New York, Pennsylvania, or Rhode Island, the former Massachusetts governor was expected to win the vast majority, if not all, of the 222 delegates up for grabs in his bid to formalize the GOP nomination.
While President Barack Obama went after the college vote Tuesday, presidential candidate Mitt Romney was prepping for another primary night. NBC's Chuck Todd reports.

I will always have joy on my face with the knowledge that your saint is not going to be in the White House.
Who cares what you think? Over 3 million primary voters thought otherwise and we are not counting penguins or residents of moon-based colonies.
Romney is going to be crushed like a bug, by Obama anyway, so it’s a moot point.
I know that. Been saying that for a while. I use “Obama will beat Romney like a rental car with full insurance”
Romney is McCain. Sent in to blow it and loose.
You have to understand: "Obama=Romney" is like a spiritual truth believed with religious fervor. To admit that Romney, while not as conservative as most of the Republican field, is miles away from the Marxist, anti-American clown in the White House would condemn their actions of not doing everything in their power to rid this country of the plague elected in 2008. Since Romney would do everything the same, in their mind, including keeping Eric Holder and Napalitano in place, continuing the assault on States' rights in suing over immigration and voter ID laws, basing justice on color of skin, new czars, expansion of executive power, etc., then they are free to vote for Goode, or write-in Palin, etc. Admitting that Romney, while not perfect, is more likely to repeal Obamacare (he has said he would during his campaign, has Obama?), cut spending, cut taxes, would force them to vote for him or suffer pangs of conscience. Blindly holding to the belief that Romney is evil, just like Obama, allows them to avoid the guilt.
