I admit, I was wrong. Newt did manage to finish second in DE. I didn’t think he had it in him to beat Paul somewhere.

Won zero delegates tonight with a clean sweep for Romney.

So do we have an answer now? Santorum’s support isn’t going to Newt. It’s gone to Romney and Paul.

Yeah, that's what seems to have happened. The problem for Newt at this point is he has been reduced to only a protest vote since he has no chance to win, and we already have Ron Paul in the race for that. The result seems to be that the more serious voters ended up getting on board with Willard, and the protest voters went to Ron Paul who is, after all, the real protest candidate.

Then again, at least in Pennsylvania, non-candidate Santorum soundly crushed Newt too. Infact in PA, Gingrich managed to finish behind Santorum who had already dropped out AND Ron Paul.
