And so,this is what it’s come down to. You get your ass beat if you’re a certain skin color (or not),if you complain about some minor issue,or if you just glance in someone’s direction and that person has a chip on their shoulder. Just shut up,avert your eyes and stay indoors with the curtains drawn. Really? How ridiculous this all has become! I am so sad for us as a people,and for what’s happening to us. This madness has got to stop.
Yes, unfortunately, this is what it’s come down to. What decent people have to do to survive in this world is to take the advice the Godfather gave his sons (in the novel, not the movie): “Don’t fight with strangers.” If a stranger complains about the parking space your car is in, apologize, move the car, and quickly get far away from the complainer. Forget about being “right” because the cost of being right when you’re dealing with strangers could be your life. Every stranger is a potential psychopath and you should act accordingly.
These guys were both “Hispanic”
I don’t know why it is, but this doesn’t appear to be nearly as much of a problem if you are talking about european caucasians, or asians. I think that, as a group, they just don’t feel they have as much to prove, and don’t think they need to assert their manhood or dominance.
In this case, it was hispanic/hispanic, so it’s not like they cut him slack because he was a common group, or attacked him because of racial animous. But I would definitely think twice about antagonizing someone who was black or hispanic. Of course, I think twice about antagonizing anybody, I’m more of a peacekeeper than an instigator.
