July 29, 2007 Romney's economic record (Hint: It's horrible)

AS MITT ROMNEY pursues his bid for the presidency, his record as Massachusetts governor will come under scrutiny, including how the state's economy performed during his administration. Our analysis reveals a weak comparative economic performance of the state over the Romney years, one of the worst in the country.

On all key labor market measures, the state not only lagged behind the country as a whole, but often ranked at or near the bottom of the state distribution. Formal payroll employment in the state in 2006 was still 16,000 or 0.5 percent below its average level in 2002, the year immediately prior to the start of the Romney administration. Massachusetts ranked third lowest on this key job generation measure and would have ranked second lowest if Hurricane Katrina had not devastated the Louisiana economy. Manufacturing payroll employment throughout the nation declined by nearly 1.1 million or 7 percent between 2002 and 2006, but in Massachusetts it declined by more than 14 percent, the third worst record in the country.

While the number of employed people over age 16 in the United States rose by nearly 8 million, or close to 6 percent, between 2002 and 2006, the number of employed residents in the Commonwealth is estimated to have modestly declined by 8,500. Massachusetts was the only state to have failed to post any gain in its pool of employed residents. The aggregate number of people 16 and older either working or looking for work in Massachusetts fell over the Romney years.

And the Un-Masking of Mitt Romney, the lying, left-wing, Progressive Liberal, continues . . .

"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan

"A thing moderately good is not so good as it ought to be. Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice." - Thomas Paine 1792

"It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." - Samuel Adams

What's wrong, your boy's record bother you?

Or is it because the GOP-E got it's way and manipulated a lying, left-wing, Progressive Liberal into the nomination where he will get creamed EXACTLY because he is a lying, left-wing, Progressive Liberal?

“What’s wrong, your boy’s record bother you? “

Not mine.

It’s a good thing to get liberalism out in the open. Four more years of Obama will be good for us.

Don’t act innocent, Mr. Obama troll.

I’m just saying that getting more liberalism will clearly define the difference between conservatism and liberalism. Romney would blur the lines.

Not once have I ever posted anything in support of Obama, and yet here you are doing that and calling me an Obama Troll?

More irrelevent b.s. for the FR kool-aid drinkers. The reality is that the governer’s job in Arseachusetts is incredibly weak and he was dealing with a vastly overwhelming DemocRAT state legislature.

All others factors are completely irrelevant.

You may know commence the wingnut ranting and raving.

There is something seriously wrong with our Congress that it permits government to reach beyond the enumerated powers and thus attracts people like Obama and Romney to the White House. There is something seriously wrong with the nominating process that we are left with the choices that we face every four years. I hope and pray that the candidates congressional we need for 2014 and the presidential candidates we need for 2016 will start NOW (immediately, not after November) preparing for the 2016 election so that they are ready for prime time, ready for the liberal attack machine, and ready to discuss all the relevant and peripheral issues that will be probed and to do so in a manner that keeps them viable as candidates. We can’t afford to continue allowing the media to screen out those who are not already established inside the Beltway.

Picked up this little tid-bit at the right scoop from a blogger who is pissed. his/her post.

For anyone who doesn’t believe that Mitt is winning this election with dirty, alinsky style lies, check out this robocall from the Rockland County (NY) Republican Chairman where he tells voters that all of the other republican candidates have dropped out of the race, but they should go out and vote for Romney to show the democrats that republicans are united:

For all the crap you dig up on Romney, zero is worse.

Period.

No he is NOT a conservative. No he is NOT going to be a savior of the right. But he CAN and SHOULD beat the usurper staining the people’s house and besmirching the presidency with his lawlessness and treason.

Those who refuse to see that are doomed to 4 more years of that big eared azzwipe.

I don’t want to see that in any way shape or form.

The GOPe have accomplished their objective, the Candidate they pre ordained is firmly in place in spite of the illusion of an election that they let us play around in.

There is no reason to post Anti-Romney stuff that Zero factions can use, if Romney loses, let it be on his own, we have better things to do.

1Sa 8:7 And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them.

Sorry, no can do.

Until Jim says stop, I will continue to post the record of Mitt Romney to remind those who basically have sold their soul and principles of what they are supporting.
