The teachers ARE the children. It is and has always been about the children. It’s because the TEACHERS are the children.

the past-President of the American Federation of Teachers is famously quoted as saying "I'll start worrying about The Children the day they start paying dues."

What other job do you know of that you can’t be fired for not doing your job? Teachers should be held to a higher standard since they are the ones educating your children. That is why children graduating from high school can’t read or write on a 6th grade level.
