Actually what he said was that the Boy Scouts have every right to decide for themselves who can and cannot join and he supports them in that...though he personally in 1994 believed gays should be allowed to be a part.
I wonder how he would answer that now, 18 years later. I do not recall anyone asking lately.
I clearly disagree with the man on his opinion, but agree whole heartidly with the declarative statement about the Boy Scouts having every right to decide for themselves...which they have, and which they do.
But, even if he still holds the 1994 personal opinion, it is clear he is not going to mess with or try to force the Boy Scouts to change...I cannot say the same at all for Obama.
I surely wish we could have gotten a win from a much more conservative candidate...I was for Palin, then Cane, then Santorum then Newt...or even at this date that we could get a brokered convention to force it, But with Newt dropping out next week, I do not believe that will happen.
Also, I expect, well before the convention, in the next few weeks that Santorum, Newt, and Palin will all come out and support and endorse Romeny...Perry already did...because he is who is going to win the nomination and we simply have to get Obama out of office.
Sad, sorry state of affairs, but they are what they are.

Well THAT’S a relief!
I know you will be providing that quote from the Bishop Romneybama that backs up your statement that “it’s clear he is not going to mess with or try to force the Boy Scouts to change.....”
I don’t know how to attribute goodness to men who say ever so clearly that that they are “open” to queers serving with regularity and title among and OVER defenseless boys who are often away from direct parental oversight.
Apparently you’re able to sleep okay having heard your nominee say that regardless when he said it. What’s changed with him since he said it? YOU have NO clue who Bishop Romneybama is beholding or in exchange for what.
I heard he already hired on an open gay as his campaign advisor on military matters.
If that is true, what’s to keep his interest in check for having openly gay leaders for Boy Scouts?
I didn't see where Romney was saying anything about homosexual Scout leaders. If he supported that, I would definitely have and issue with him. I DO NOT want my kids in the woods with a homosexual. In particular, I especially don't want them in the woods with one who has leadership or authority over them. The girl scouts caved on this and have lesbian leaders. They are a real mess and I know a lot of families who do not put their daughters in girl scouts because of that.
I wonder how he would answer that now, 18 years later. I do not recall anyone asking lately.
EXACTLY. What has he said lately on this issue. It seems odd to me that Santorum was repeatedly and pointedly asked such 'politically incorrect' questions YET Romney either has not been asked these questions or has dodged answering them clearly. What is that all about?
For instance on DADT from 2008: Romney on DADT (Dont Ask, Dont Tell)
2008 Romney on DADT (Dont Ask, Dont Tell)
Question: How do you feel about gays serving openly in the military.
Romney: Thats already occurred and Im not planning on reversing that at this stage. <
Question: But youre comfortable with it?
Romney: I was not comfortable making the change during a period of conflict, by virtue of the complicating the features of a new program in the middle of two wars going on, but those wars are winding down and moving to that direction at this stage no longer presents that problem.
November 9, 2011: Romney meeting with the editorial board of the Des Moines Register.

Here is one paragraph from the Republican platform:
The all-volunteer force has been a success. We oppose reinstituting the draft, whether directly or through compulsory national service. We support the advancement of women in the military and their exemption from ground combat units. Military priorities and mission must determine personnel policies. Esprit and cohesion are necessary for military effectiveness and success on the battlefield. To protect our servicemen and women and ensure that America's Armed Forces remain the best in the world, we affirm the timelessness of those values, the benefits of traditional military culture, and the incompatibility of homosexuality with military service.
So Does Reality Romney support the GOP Party Platform today -has he flipped since being anointed the nominee by fellow RINO's and the MSM?
It seems odd that Romney is willing to lead an effort to overturn one leftist law, taking over healthcare, but not willing to lead an effort to overturn another leftist law homosexualizing the military?
It will be interesting to see if and how the RINO's attempt to change the GOP platform to match the Reality Romney platform. I, and I am sure many, will be watching what they actually do, versus what they say.
WHAT is Romney's position today? Can any of the RINO ABO supporters people tell me?
Do we now need to speak about different time frame Romney's e.g. I prefer the March 15th 2006 Romney over the Spring 2008 Romney, what about you?
This is sad. LOL
