What else would they do with the animal after they killed it?
I don’t know anyone who kills for food nowadays.
Live and let live is my motto.

perhaps she is a little less likely to believe nonsense about it, if she does. she will discover that the gun doesn’t whisper sinister things to her at all, nor does it jump up and chase quarry down.

I don’t like people who don’t like killing animals for sport and meat to offer an unsolicted personal opinion.
We are not asking you to hunt and kill (for sport or meat). Just to leave us alone. Okay?

I don’t know anybody who doesn’t, you do realize that all 50 states have laws in place that make it a crime to waste or leave in the field any game animal taken.

And she will be exposed to gun owners, and hopefully ones like I know that respect guns, animals, humans, the law, etc.; and therefore less likely to believe the nonsense about gun owners as well.

Animals are not there just for you to kill them.
They are there to live, just like you are.
A plant is entirely different. They are not breathing and living creatures like an animal.
Yes, I know they breathe too, but not like a flesh and blood animal. BTW, I do not eat meat, ever.

Yup. And not just gun hunting — I know a guy who goes hunting with bow and arrow. Got a freezer full of deerburger.

I dont know anyone who kills for food nowadays Move out to Missouri and you will find people with freezers full of venison, who eat quail and pheasant seasonally, whose Thanksgiving dinner is centered around a Tom that they got with a bow, and who enjoy a nice squirrel stew on a cold winter day.
Just because you don't know anyone who does it, doesn't mean that there aren't millions who do it.

I dont know anyone who kills for food nowadays. Unless you are a vegan, someone else is doing the killing for you.

i do for one.
i've got a daughter who is allergic to beef, but venison and elk are fine. so a big part of why i still hunt is to get her steak and burgers.

coydog hunting That's not "hunting".
It's "pest control".
And much more entertaining than setting a mousetrap.

If I were Scalia, I wouldn’t want to be anywhere near Kagan when she’s carrying a gun. If she shot him, she’d claim it was an accident (like Cheney’s) and there is no way Obama would prosecute. Oops. Oh well, Obama, better appoint someone new.

Not entirely true. Down here in Texas killing hogs and letting them lay is allowed.
