I am indeed an old lady.
I do the ZOT LIGHTNING posts because I usually post pretty pictures that my list members like, and I give them what they want, the zottees’ posting history, and a usually as-clever-as-my-aging-brain-will-allow vituperative excoriation of the zottee(s), and a little parting shot to twist the knife.
If I think that the zot was questionable, I’m kinder and gentler to the zottee, and they are sometimes just suspensions.
As for Wolfstar and sanescold (a list member of mine), didn’t you just get done saying upthread that you agreed Wolfstar was out of line?
Have you checked sanescold’s posting history?

No, I agree that Wolfstar got out of line and probably deserved the zot.
Maybe everybody who got the zot deserved it. I haven’t kept track of exactly what they did and don’t even know who was zotted besides wolfstar.
I just don’t like the dancing on the graves and hope that you don’t dance on mine if it comes to that.
But dance all you can. It’s all I can do to walk these days.
