"Memories of Subic Bay......"

Memories, nothing more than memories...from the pages of my mind... ;)

The girls in the photograph would be second and third tier compared to most "hostesses" on Magsaysay in my 70's-80's Aviation Navy days. I often feel bad for modern sailors who can't experience Olongapo it its heyday. Don't even know if our ships get liberty there anymore since the PI kick us out.

Didn't know you were Navy or Marine. Thanks for serving. Hope you had a great time in Subic - I know I did. As I mentioned on another thread, "double bullets" were your friend.

“LBFM’s”, now there’s one I haven’t heard in a while. I was in the Corps back in the day. You could get a meal, a couple of ice cold beers, and a Double Wash for ten bucks IIRC.

Those were some days my friend. Thanks for your service, too.
