Miss Marple’s handy tips on how to get enthusiastic about the election:
1. Supreme Court. Bork is advising Romney.
2. Foreign policy. John Bolton is advising Romney.
3. Ann Romney. I need not explain the improvement.
4. Exploding heads on TV if we win!
5. New York Times would be depressed if we win.
6. Axelrod no longer thought of as a genius.
7. Valerie Jarrett sent back to Chicago!
8. EPA will be seriously revamped.
9. No more Hollywood parties in White House!
10. No all Obama/all the time news channels!
Look, I supported Palin but she didn’t run. Then I supported Parry and he fizzled and quit. Romney has spent a lot of time building an organization and helping candidates over the last 3 years. He actually has a plan to win, I think.
Please try to get enthusiastic about getting Obama out. We don’t always understand why things don’t work out the way we wish. If you simply cannot support Romney, then please try not to depress everyone. It isn’t helpful at all. The tea party candidates for Senate and House would be helped immensely if Romney had coattails, so think about that when you get all gloomy!
You go girl!
Amen, sister.
I keep telling people here that Obama and his nasty little crew of minions will be trashing Romney non-stop from here on out.
They will stop at nothing.
We do NOT need to help them by whining about Romney ourselves.
Amen! I’m so glad you’re still coming to this thread!
Amen, friend! Amen!
(I’d add “Eric Holder out” to your list!)
Right.
Romney may be way down on a lot of people's list for President (I know he was right near the bottom on mine), but to quote *Donald Rumsfeld*, "You go to war with the army you've got - not the one you wish you had!".
Right now, Romney is the nominee of the army we've got. It's unfortunate it is he whom we are stuck with (I'm still voting for Newt in our Primary, and I have donated liberally to him).
But we must keep the strategic goal in mind: just who is the most dangerous and lethal enemy we face? This may be our last chance to stop them and forestall the more extreme and painful future lurking out there on the horizon.
If we fail that which is now realistically set before us in the most important task looming before us concerning the future of our lives, liberty and country, it is not going to lead to anything pretty on any level. Frankly, you can think "Soviet Union" or "Bosnia" and likely not be too far off the mark.
We have a choice. Not the best, but a choice. Unfortunately, we are not always presented with the ideal choice or can choose the best answer. We had best not blow this chance (as unsatisfactory as some may think it is) or we may never get another.
At one time, the weak Duma, the Mensheviks, and Alexander Kerensky and the Socialist Revolutionary Party looked like a pretty poor choice to a lot of Russians after the Tsars were overthrown. But was it really? The endless grumbling and competing factions of the various competing groups on the "White" side ended in them losing everything in a civil war with the weaker but unified "Reds" who were a distinct minority but who held the militarily strategic interior lines and a government which they had installed by force but which had not yet revealed it's ultimate evil nature.
I think we face much the same situation today. We can fight out the details, but only after our side wins. Trying to do it now before we win is the sure way to lose it all - just as the Whites did. Forget all our competing factions. The main goal should be not to let the Reds win!
