Ruth Rosen.....all one need do is visit her own self-agrandizing web page 'www.ruthrosen.org' to see what she is. An uber-liberal UC academic whose credentials are mainly centered on bitter-womens' studies. Additionally a former SF Chronicle and LA Times columnist.

NOTHING in this bio remotely qualifies this hater to judge ANYTHING about a Tea-Party or, more importantly, the national sentiment which spurs conservatives like me and others to vote for their ideals while not formally aligned with a Tea-Party.

I am an active member of my local Tea Party. My husband, while conservative, has zero involvement in the organization. If it had been left up to my husband, I would not be in the Tea Party. So much for Rosen’s argument that men are using women to “man” the Tea Party.

And my situation mirrors many other women in our local Tea Party. I guess the left just decides to make up so called facts about an organization that they FEAR.

Fantastic! Excellent Job. I know several TEA Party women, who might not have kept their cool like you all. One is my dear younger sister. She is more pro-Liberty, freedom and lower taxes than anyone I know. She is a single professional healthcare worker and loves our country. She also has a short fuze and a low tolerance for lefties. I can imagine her either walking out or shouting out at the first insult.

I might have, too. Your post is a great teaching tool for me, so if I find myself in a situation like this, bide my time and then try at the right point to educate someone in a calm and informed way. thanks!

Thanks for posting this. I am so pleased that someone has spoken out for us. I wish this could be a nationwide plan.
The women of the TEA Party that I know aren’t anything like they were being described.

I haven’t been very happy about the image of the so called “leaders” of the many TEA Parties. Some do appear to be maneuvering for political advantage. A few I’ve seen do seem to be just normal ladies who are concerned with the direction our country was going.
