Priest attacked by group of children

Calumet City police are investigating an attack on a priest by a group of children.

Jacek Dada, the pastor of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, was walking his dog on April 11th when the incident occurred.

Police say the kids began to tease the dog and when the priest asked them to stop they yelled and threw rocks at him.

Dada suffered broken fingers while shielding his head from the rocks.

He was unable to identify any of the attackers from police photos.

I dunno, I read this story and something just doesn’t seem right to me. I was expecting a little more detail considering this attack happened a few weeks ago.

Calumet City is just down Route 6 from Long Beach, Calif., not far from my home.

I once drove through Calumet City (from Chicago, not Long Beach). It didn’t strike me as a slum, but it seemed pretty rundown.

If Obama gets a second term, our inner cities could turn into 'Lord of the Flies' type places. No one will hold these young thugs to account so why will they stop? They won't. Every criminal needs to be held to account. No matter what their age; no matter what their color; no matter what their religion; no matter what their sexual proclivities. We need to get respect for the law back into our schools. Obama and Holder won't be doing that.
