You sir just took out your hammer and hit the nail squarely on the head. The whole concept of self defense which is clearly outside the grasp of liberals is on trial. If George Zimmerman had not shot Treyvon Martin in self defense where would we be at this point. George’s parents and other well wishers along with self defense and pro carry groups would be working to force local law enforcement agencies to work harder in an effort to find George’s killer. That’s right because George would have been found dead on that sidewalk where Treyvon jumped him and his head would be bashed in from the sidewalk. It of course would not be classed as a hate crime all of the evidence would be considered suspect. George’s gun, wallet, cash, and credit cards would be stolen hours later his house would be broken into and everything of value would be stolen. The local LEO’S would most likely be afraid to talk about the suspect in real terms and the chances of a positive ID would be next to impossible. A small (8-12 member) call center team from India or the Philippines could raise $2-3 million for him in a week. By myself, I could put together another $200K in a month. There’s a huge base of support for him and push-back for this case and how the race-baiters have glommed onto it.
A lot of people saw themselves in George Zimmerman’s shoes..
