Sounds like Prof. Warren was able to get ahead by claiming “minority” status, thereby taking a position that should have gone to a real Indian.

I don't think it's that so much as it makes her . . . at least in her mind/the liberal's mind . . . more "interesting" than just being a white broad. And plus, it gives her "cred." Liberal white people are ashamed of being white.
