Last I checked.

Do these people know how stupid they sound? Two sentences and the guy has lost all credibility. Besides, what is he even talking about? Handguards? Sights? Carry handles? None of those things have anything to do with the actual round being fired (which, as far as I know, is what actually does the damage).

It is essentially the equivalent of arguing that a leather steering wheel cover, a new stereo, or a shift knob would make a Corvette faster. It hurts my brain. Anybody who’s ever fired a gun and held an AR can tell you that a lot of the standard equipment is cheap and uncomfortable. I don’t know what the Cabela’s e-mail said, but I’d guess they were just pushing things like MOE grips, handguards, stocks, and BUIS.

Yep, it is only a matter of time and opportunity before a mob like this tries this on someone who is armed and prepared to defend themselves...

“I don't own an AR. I don't even have a gun.”

The ignorance of this author is positively breathtaking. Yes, an AR can be an automatic rifle, but in this instance AR stands for ARMALITE RIFLE. (Of course, then you’d have to tell this sharpest knife in the drawer what the ArmaLite Company was.)

The AR-type rifle is arguably the most copied rifle clone next to the M1911 and the AK. Every major manufacturer has their own variant of this iconic rifle — Remington, Ruger, Colt, S&W — plus a host of others. Stag Arms even build left handed versions of the rifle for the 1 of 5 people who soot from the other shoulder.

It boggles the mind where Mr. Bernie Quigley has been living since Mr. Obama was inaugurated in 2009. I can only think it is some parallel universe. Ignorance can be cured, but stupidity is forever.

Then why does the US military use M4's for close quarters combat?

Lowest bidder meeting minimum specs?

Think Beirut Lebanon in the mid 70’s early 80’s. Or perhaps Northern Ireland from the early 70’s to present.

Guerrilla warfare? Now that would keep me away from the cities for sure. ;-) IMO, criminals in our USA are too spoiled and soft for that kind of action (which is a good thing), but we'll see.

Actually think religious/ethnic/political brawl/blood feud & that would keep a lot of folks away from anything to do with this country.

Well, thank you for the kind words.

Now if we could just get an indictment against AG Holder. In Arizona. There's your pluperfect gun-grabber.
