Has anyone noticed that only the trucks cast shadows?

I guess we shouldn't be surprised, there is very little substance to Obama.

Poor Obama.

He’s obviously broken his arm. Not his elbow droop during the salute.

And he’s gotten so thin he cannot cast a proper shadow, unlike the objects in the background.

No wonder he didn’t want the troops to see him in this condition.

I don’t believe he’s in Bagram...he’s in some warehouse in Maryland pretending to salute.

Everything he does is faked.

Obama brags about killing Osama and winning the War on Terror.

But here is an imagined address that reveals what Obama would like to say if he could reveal what he really believes is his biggest military accomplishment:
___________________________________________
President Obama’s Bagram Air Field Address.
May 1, 2012

My fellow Americans, we’ve traveled through dark cloud of discrimination in our military for too long.

Here, in the pre-dawn darkness of Afghanistan — where we meet to help produce an ad for my reelection — we see the light of new day of tolerance about to break on the horizon for our military and nation.

I am here today to apologize to the thousands of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered men and women who have served their nation faithfully over these many years, but were forced to live a lie.

I am here to offer the hope of change!

For decades gay soldiers were forced to deny who they are, suffering under the flawed policies of the past that forbid same-sex loving in the ranks. No More!

This year my administration fought hard to put those antiquated restrictions aside. Now, thanks to our hard work, gay soldiers may choose to love openly in our armed forces.

When I was elected, I set the goal to defeat right wing bigots where ever we find them. Soon, we succeeded in eliminating the hypocritical ‘Don’t ask, don’t tell’ scourge upon our land.

Now for the first time, gay soldiers may date, marry, kiss before battle, play with soap and openly greet their partners with passion upon returning home.

Over the last three and a half years, my administration has been in direct discussion with gay rights groups to move forward on this glorious cause.

With this new policy the American people, and the world, should know that gay people have a friend and a partner in the United States military.

Our momentous actions mean that full Gay Rights is now within our reach! May that day break into a noon day sun upon our land.

Thank you and may something truly bigger-than-our-selves, such as God, Allah or Gia, bless America!

[The president also said he and first lady Michelle Obama are “looking after” the families of the troops while they’re away, and promised not to forget the debt owed to those who fight.

“We are going to be there for you when you’re in uniform and we will stay there for you when you’re out of uniform,” Obama said. “Because you’ve *EARNED* it; you *EARNED* a special place in *OUR* hearts.]

How effing white of him. Spit.

Maybe the lights were directly overhead where Obama was standing.

Why is there a white line going around his left arm, left shoulder, up and around his head? Something fishy going on there...

BO looks to be Photoshopped into the picture. He casts no shadow and everything else around him does.

IOw, he did the shaking of the soldiers’ hands for the camera and then he gave his campaign speech for the viewers back home so there wouldn’t be any booing from our brave soldiers. My, my he’s certainly worried.

Give him a break.

Just imagine how many practice salutes it took for him to learn how not to 'flip the bird' with his saluting fingers in that pose.

He is at least saluting with the proper hand,...the other proper hand...

Which to some is better than no acknowledgment at all,...

His left hand is still limp,....a Don't Ask, Don't Tell salute posture.

Quite some effort considering he appears to be ambidextrous.

seriously? He is in a warehouse...the lights are probably 50 feet above him......only lage light diverting objects like big trucks would cast a shadow or something close to the ground like a table. This isn’t like moonlight being on a 30 degree angle in the sky casting a shadow.

He looks eerily similar to the character of Hawkeye in M*A*S*H who would intentionally mock salutes.

He has that freaking podium and seal there. I mean seriously?

Also, he looks overlayed in front of a photo backdrop--like they used the scene that they photographed with him "saluting" then used that *photoed* same scene to backdrop him at his podium--which was probably in a small media room setup. I noticed that thin dark outline of him against the backrop that usually means the subject being filmed has been put in front of a screen.

Here’s the official White House video...

It’s truly telling how unexcited the troops are.

Not nearly the cheers and level of noise that Bush got. IMHO.

Agreed, a very subdued response. I got the impression they were just being polite, little more.

And who are those people on the side? I don’t recognize their clothing - are they US or Afghanis?

Judging by the collar...I'd guess exorcists.

That was my perception, too! I’ve been around troops for a long time. I didn’t see any real enthusiasm in the soldiers lined up behind Obama. They had that “I’m trying to be polite, but please get me outa here!” look on their faces. Even their posture in many cases looked restless. However, I saw pictures of soldiers in crowds clamoring to see Obama. I don’t know.
