This evening at a Tea Party meeting someone said, the GOP in D.C. will never allow a conservative to win the primary.” I believe it. I still thing we should join the Constitution Party and build it large enough to take our country back. I will still vote for Newt in the primary on May 8. I will vote Tea Party candidates for delegates (we have 4 committed delegates for Newt already). I will vote for Tea Party candidates in every position on the ballot. Our Tea Party is concentrating on taking down the democrat network in WV. It may take a few years, but we are determined to start at the bottom and work our way up for a conservative legislature. Then we can elect patriots to send to Wash.

The first thing people have to do is come to the acceptance that the GOP no longer believes their own platform. That is a demonstratable fact. I was a Repub from my 18th birthday until last year. I argued endlessly with people who told me that the party was worth saving. I no longer do that. They were right.

Like an alcoholic/drug addict, the person or entity cannot be saved until it WANTS to be saved. It will not help itself and you or I cannot help it. So we have a choice. We can band together and get behind a party who shares our values, with the knowledge that it too can be corrupted every bit as bad as the Dem/GOP, or just let it all crash and burn, then if enough of us are left, start over.

Either way, the Dem/GOP will rule for the foreseeable future and it’s gonna suck. It’s gonna hurt everyone whether they will swallow their pride and admit it, or not. Personally I’m of the mind to stand aside and let Utopia burn because I do not see any other realistic way to save, like the alcoholic/druggies mentioned above, something that does not want to be saved.

Periodically throughout history, empires self implode. Those that think America is immune are wrong. Well, “America” may have been, but we aren’t in that country anymore IMO. And I am not proud of thinking that way, but I truly believe the facts on the ground back that up.

THAT’s the right attitude. Because, face it, WE allowed this situation to get out of hand and fester. WE turned our backs for years, enjoying life, while things have declined, and our freedoms slipped away.

I don’t believe America is totally hopeless — I think Conservatives just have a LOT of ground to cover and take back — and it’s going to take time. Hopefully not too late ...might be, might not.
