Anyone notice the American-Indian wannabes usually seem to claim “Cherokee?” What about: Mattaponi, Powhatan, Cree, Arikara, Assiniboine or Hidatsa?

C’mon Elizabeth, get more creative with your wannabe-ness.

Cherokee was a really big tribe with a lot of mixing with local settlers.

Any way, this story caused me to check up on Shania Twain :-) who was adopted by Jerry Twain, "a full-blooded member of the Ojibwa First Nation". She is recorded as a 50% Ojibwa due to adoption. I thought that is cool. :-)

Shania trumps Elizabeth Warren!

You omitted the Fakowi tribe from your list. So, I ask you: Where the Fakowi?

That is because there is no such thing as a full blood Cherokee anymore. However since they discovered Casinos wholesale DNA testing has ensued. I think the Cherokee will accept that kind of data. Paternity courts however will not let you off the hook for child support.
