Rather Purports To Be At Peace, But Suggests Anonymous Partisans Destroyed Him With 'Lies'

If this is how Dan Rather at peace looks like, wonder what he's like when angry and embittered . . .

On Morning Joe today, Rather emphatically alleged that he was "at peace" over the Memogate fiasco that led to the end of his career. But he couldn't help himself from suggesting that his reputation had been destroyed by anonymous partisans employing "lies."

It ain’t fair, I tell ya, it ain’t fair. Walter Cronkite got to undermine the country and he retired and died a hero! I did the same yet I’m looked at as a zero and nobody! I want what Uncle Walter got!

Bravo Sierra! CBS would have gone absolutely to the wall to defend Rather if they could have. His time-warped typewriter stunt just proved to be indefensible.

A picture of a washed-up, lying, America-hating Marxist. The other is Fidel Castro.

Rather almost invented the game of lie and innuendo to take down political figures he didn’t agree with. He felt his ‘vote’ counted for a few million ordinary citizens... He abused his power ...

Really, Rather?

I guess the truth is like a crucifix to a vampire. What a bitter old clinger to the See BS abhor slot he once had. Bye, bye Danny — you’re not missed — you arrogant ass.

This is what happens when your voice-recognition software isn’t quite ready. He didn’t say “at peace”, he said “ate peas”. Later on he talks about how much he likes pudding.

“Easily forgotten.”

Not at Boston University1 Just go to the main library there and you can see their shrine to Dan Rather! Sadly, I had to pay big bucks to have my daughter go to school at that $hithole!

Dan, Dan, Dan! It's not whether the documents were fakes...It's the seriousness of the charge.

Maybe Mike Wallace's passing has Ole Dan smelling the roses and he doesn't want his obit to read about the exposure of his perfidy and subsequent disgrace.

The best part of this story is that even if the memos were real, if this one set of National Guard memos were the only ones in that decade typed with a proportional font that allowed for superscripts, Rather was still guilty in general of what patriotic Americans claimed he had done with these particular Bush memos. In other words, even in the worst case, our charges were . . .

"Fake but Accurate".

Exactly. He has never come up with an explination why his accurate documents look so obviously fake.

What Dan Rather did was nothing less than an attempted overthrow of our democracy. His pathetic lies were the weapons of a failed coup d’état organized and supported my the established media and the political opposition. Had it not been for the so called “anonymous partisans” and this website, he would have very likely succeeded.

That Rather quote was what he said when he confronted Larry Ellison (Oracle). Ellison had just made a speech where he said in the future people would turn away from network television to the internet for their news.
