Paul supporters create delegate mischief
The Washington Times ^ | May 1, 2012 | Ralph Z. Hallow

Mitt Romney may be the presumptive GOP nominee, but Rep. Ron Paul of Texas is quietly racking up some organizational victories that could complicate Mr. Romney’s coronation at the Republican Convention in Tampa, Fla.

Exploiting party rules, loyalists for the congressman from Texas in recent days have engineered post-primary organizing coups in states such as Louisiana and Alaska, confirming what party regulars say would be an effort to grab an outsized role in the convention and the party’s platform deliberations.

In Massachusetts, Paul loyalists over the weekend helped block more than half of Mr. Romney’s preferred nominees from being named delegates at state party caucuses — even though Mr. Romney won his home state’s primary with 72 percent of the vote. Many state GOP establishment figures, including longtime state Republican National Committee member Ron Kaufman, won’t be going to Tampa in August as official delegates.

Paul, “is doing more with less than any modern presidential campaign in recent memory,” said Doug Wead, a Paul campaign adviser. “More surprises coming,” Mr. Wead blogged this week. “It means that Ron Paul will be a factor in Tampa.”

In DeKalb County, Ga., Gingrich won the state’s March 6 primary, but the selection of delegates to the national convention takes place in subsequent party caucuses. So Paul loyalists can run for delegate slots ostensibly as supporters of Mr. Gingrich or another candidate.

In Alaska — where Mr. Paul came in third in the primary — his supporters organized to elect two Paul loyalists as chairman and co-chairman of the state party, beating out candidates backed by the Alaska GOP establishment.

In Alaska, tea-party-backed 2010 GOP Senate candidate Joe Miller and wife Kathleen struck an apparent alliance with Mr. Paul’s team, and she won election March 27 as a delegate to the Tampa convention.

I cannot, will not, EVER vote for a pro-abort/bigger government/anti-RKBA asshole like Willard.

You ask too much.

Willie Mitty could have been beaten or at least had less votes delegates etc..

Too much caution and fear...
_____________________________________________________________
I respectfully disagree. The problem was not too much caution and fear, but the fact that the good Conservatives, who had a chance of being elected, did not run and we were dealt a lousy hand. And, in addition to that, the process sucks. I live in Texas and I did not even get a say in who the nominee will be because our Primary is May 29. States like New Hampshire, Maryland and Connecticut chose MY Party’s nominee FOR ME.

BS, A lot of Paul supporters are Occutards who want to push socialism in America and destroy Capitalism. I don’t know one Tea Party member who is a Paul supporter.

He is a truther who blames America for the attacks on 9/11 and he is a libertarian nut bag.

I would vote for Romney or Obama before I would vote for Paul. And I hate Romney and Obama.

So you'll vote for pro-abort/anti-Constitution type over someone who is pro-life/pro-Constitution.

Because you've listened to his detractors instead of figuring things out for yourself.

Nice to know.

And people wonder why I think we're doomed as a Country.

So you believe that Paul is all that?

You’ve not been reading a lot of the facts posted here on FR showing that Paul is a liberal as big as Romney then.

Over the last few months, FR has been zotting all Paul supporters for their crap.

Paul understands the Constitution about as much as Romney and Obama do. Paul is a blame America truther and Jew Hater. He might have stumbled on some good ideas about fiscal things but his other ideas and beliefs are pure nuts crazy. He’s the darling of the occutard movement and all pro-dope, pro-prostitute hippies.

We are doomed as a country because George Soros has paid for Obama, Romney and Paul. Proof of Paul being under the Soros thumb was posted here numerous times. Glen Beck showed the link.

Keep supporting Paul. You’ll be a memory here.

An organization called Student Scholars for 9/11 Truth video taped an inpromtu appearance with Ron Paul and recorded some of his comments. They can be found here:
http://michellemalkin.com/2007/05/19/trutheriness-and-ron-paul/

While Ron Paul has said on TV shows such as Glen Beck that he dismisses the major theories, he openly says there is a coverup of what went on yet refuses to elaborate on just what is covered up. The 9/11 Comission clearly showed that intelligence failures happened because of Clinton era laws that prevented our inteligence agancies from communicating with each other.
On the website CONSPIRACY PLANET, information about Ron Paul and issues similar to this can be found:
http://www.conspiracyplanet.com/channel.cfm?ChannelID=90

Ron Paul has publically said that the CIA has accomplished a coup against America and needs to be taken out:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2dECSYm5bSM

A direct quote from this conference is as such:
(January 20, 2010) House Rep. Ron Paul says the CIA has in effect carried out a “coup” against the US government, and the intelligence agency needs to be “taken out.”
Speaking to an audience of like-minded libertarians at a Campaign for Liberty regional conference in Atlanta this past weekend, the Texas Republican said: “There’s been a coup, have you heard? It’s the CIA coup. The CIA runs everything, they run the military. They’re the ones who are over there lobbing missiles and bombs on countries...”
Additional video proof of him saying this here:

And here is one prominant website that supports the 9/11 conspiracy theories, calling for a RON PAUL PROVISIONAL ARMY to take over after we investigate the 9/11 events:
http://how911wasdone.blogspot.com/

Among the other kooky connections to Ron Paul, is a UFO COnnection. I have yet to find the original article, but numerous articles repeat the belief of Ron Paul’s that UFO’s are real. Some of the Ron Paul sites have soeone trying to mock this belief, but the Ron Paul site, DailyPaul.com says this:
http://dailypaul.com/node/125999

This has been repeated again in San Francisco, not known to support conservatives or Libertarians anyways, but associated with Ron Paul out there were UFO enthusiasts mentioned in this article:

How is it that the kookiest ideas are surrounding Ron Paul?
Ron Paul, UFO disclosure, etc... simply nothing more than a pacifier — a distraction!

Gerald Ford was an incumbent, like Obama, with a lot of baggage (i.e. he pardoned Nixon) and made serious gaffes in the Debate (i.e. Poland is not under Soviet Bloc control). George H.W. Bush was an incumbent, like Obama, and thought he was a shoo-in even after his biggest misstep of all; breaking the “Read My Lips” pledge. Dole was a crusty old fart, running against a young, popular incumbent President. McCain was a disaster. He would not go after Obama, Romney will. Plus, McCain had a Liberal bitch for a wife and a Liberal bitch for a daughter. He couldn’t run a Conservative campaign to offset “The Chosen One” because he was too “whipped”. But, Obama has a record now. he is greatly hated by people who voted for him and who now feel betrayed; even Blacks and Hispanics. So, put away the broad brush your painting with and lay down the crack pipe and chill out.

Dang! A lot of those folks are nuttier than squirrel turds!

Where there's a shell, there's a way.

25 years ago, we had Ronald Reagan, Johnny Cash, and Bob Hope.
Today we have Obama, no cash, and no hope!

If you can't appreciate the pure beauty of the violin after hearing this, something's wrong with your ears.

Or you can get raw with these strings.

How about this gamechanger from America's Got Talent (which they SHOULD have won).

And finally, this, dedicated to the one and only rdb2, WHO HAS RETURNED HOME!.

Either way, the violin is sweet yet LETHAL.

Do it!

Every time the GOP has put a milquetoast on the ticket they gotten their asses handed to them. The one time in the last 30 years they ran a real conservative they won by. A landslide.

Twice.

Learn something from history.

Willard cannot win.

In Wisconsin, we have a handful of Paul delegates who insinuated themselves into the caucus and will be going to Tampa, provided they can raise the money from others.

By Charles Dharapak, AP Before there was the Tea Party movement, there was Texas Rep. Ron Paul and his belief that the federal government should stay out of people's lives.

Next week, the past, present and future of the Tea Party will come together on the steps of the Texas Capitol in Austin.

Paul and his son, Rand, who was elected to the U.S. Senate from Kentucky with Tea Party support, announced today that they will hold a "major" rally May 6 with the Tea Party Express, one of the largest groups in the anti-tax, small-government movement.

The rally will also feature Senate candidate Ted Cruz, who is among the GOP candidates in the Lone Star state seeking the seat of U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison.

Cruz has been described as the Texas version of Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, another Tea Party favorite elected in 2010.

I don’t support Romney paultard. I was a Cain supporter and then a Newt supporter. I can not bring myself to even believe Paul would be president. He is a disaster and the fact that you are a paultard just tells me all I care to know about you.

It’s a wonder how you’ve kept your FR account being a Paultard.

Actually, I was a Cain supporter. And a Santorum supporter. Then Newt...

Only two left now unless a Third Party can rise to fill the gap.

Paul has NEVER been a candidate of mine. That is why on my original list he ranked one slot above Romney.

Nice try at trolling though newbie.

Yes. Let's look at this. Jim and I have talked about exactly how unelectable Dr. Paul is. Last we discussed this, Jim and I are in complete agreement that whatever good Paul may have tried to do, between his own asshattery and his Troofer sycophant base make him completely unappealing as a candidate.

Until you compare him to a pro-abortion liberal like Romney.

I could vote for Paul on his pro-life stance... I can't vote for Romney period because of his opposite stance. Simple as that.

So, newbie troll, any other aspersions you want to cast?

Other than the attack on my lifespan here on FR you can’t say much about my conservative creds. I am a conservative and that means I won’t support Romney. But I won’t support Paul either because he is not a conservative either. There are things I have read that show Paul is not the “pro-lifer” that some here think he is. It has also been shown that Paul is in bed with Soros. I do believe that.

Funny how Paul attacked all the conservatives in the running except for Romney. He seemed to help Romney get this far. I remember reading other posters accounts of things that showed Paul and Romney were in bed together.

I don’t like Romney, but I don’t like Paul either. I won’t waste my vote for either one.

Just so you know, my account may indicate I am new, but it is only because I got zotted for fighting with a few Paulbots and after being stalked by one I lost my temper and got booted.

I can’t stand Romney supporters and I can’t stand Paulbots. Both are anti-conservative as far as I am concerned.

Vote for whoever you wish, it’s your vote, but don’t try to tell me that Paul is anymore conservative than Romney. And both are just the same as Obama. They all dance on the strings controlled by George Soros.
