A vote for Romney is your consent to abortion, homosexual marriage, gun control, global warming, big government, mandates, RomneyCare, etc., but pushed by the GOP.

Jsut to clarify two things: first, a vote for Romney is a vote for someone who supported all of the above in the past but now claims not to anymore. Skepticism of his conversion is quite reasonable, but do you think there is any possibilty that five years of campaigning face to face with Republican voters has actually changed his mind on at least some things?

Second, is it you opinion that a 2nd Obama term would be less harmful than Romney becuse the Republicans would oppose Obama, but support the same measures from Romney?

Your 2nd question is irrelevant. I will not vote for a man who has an unquestionably abortionist, homosexualist, statist record and who is lying about it (ie, currently claims that he has always been pro-life and “quite frankly” all of his positions have “always been conservative.” And who is still pushing his anti-liberty RomneyCare compulsory health insurance plan (see Ronald Reagan on compulsory health insurance is socialism) and claims it is a “conservative solution” (another lie). A man who still pushes global warming. A man who claims more stimulus spending may be necessary. A man who supports TARP, bailouts, the takeover of GM and stimulus spending and increasing the debt limit as necessary and good ideas. A man who says he will do nothing about gays in the military, etc. The man is a fricken LIBERAL/PROGRESSIVE and is death to conservatism in the GOP!! Hell no I will not support him!!

It is irrational to judge someone by their words when their words are contradicted by their actions.

In criminal actions, every defendant gets judgment day religion. If we sentenced them based upon their words, our prisons would be empty.

Romney, by his actions has demonstrated his big government, anti freedom, socialist agenda. Hi words, today are nothing more than judgment day religion.

Jim saw this question as irrelevant but I consider it relevant and I'll answer: YES.

I saw the same thing in reverse on January 20, 1969. There were many Democrats who were antiwar at heart but went along with the Vietnam War under LBJ. As soon as Nixon was President, those Dems felt free to oppose the policies that they had been publicly supporting.

In American politics, party loyalty is a powerful force. A Romney presidency would indeed pull the Republican Party well to the left (with, of course, a few honorable exceptions).
