I am still going to write in Palin (if the convention doesnt go through). In some states you have to be careful about write in voting.
I was told by a poll worker ( the one handing out ballots ) that if you wrote-in anyone that didn't register in advance as a write-in candidate, it was a spoiled ballot and wouldn't be counted.
You'd be wise to check beforehand; I can state that the ballot won't be voided in Maine: "If a voter writes in a write-in space the name of a person who has not filed a declaration of write-in candidacy as provided by section 722-A , the vote for that office may not be counted except in accordance with section 737-A, subsection 2-A." - http://www.mainelegislature.org/legis/statutes/21-a/title21-Asec696.html

Newt doesn't have to win. He has to keep Romney from locking up enough undisputed delegates to secure the nomination. And then it goes to the floor. And from there, anything can happen.I would love nothing more than for that to happen. Even though it would probably damage the nominee's chances and lead to a Goldwater scale debacle it would be the greatest show on Earth.
But I wouldn't bet on it.

Sure they have anchovies, but barely anyone chooses them and they will never be a winner with the public.I know I said I order extra large pizzas in case someone shows up late for dinner but I didn't mean I was inviting the public. Furthermore if guests don't like what I order that's too bad.

The primary is my one and only chance to send him a REAL message!

You aren’t sending him ANY message. He doesn’t care how many votes he gets in the Primary, he knows weaklings will vote for him in the general under the misguided notion that he is better than Obama.

I'm asking why Romney and not Paul. No one has given me a solid answer in response to that question. Because Ron Paul is a freakin' kook-wad and Romney at least pretends to be a sane human being.
Granted, Romney is a gun-grabbing socialist douchebag but he doesn't have aliens and troofers among his supporters.
It's a matter of degree.
And Ron Paul is many degrees out-of-level.

I'm not in Romney's court but opposing both he and Obama so I cannot help you understand people's who would secure Romney over PAul....they did the same thing with Newt when he was still running.....basically their vote was a vote against Newt...and Paul.
Many swallowed the Santorum bait...and it worked. But as projected until he hit the wall in PA....but then he knew he would and so did the GOP.
Paul just isn't in this to win...and his desires are to be heard ...and speaking his mind.
If it were to go to converntion Paul will release his delegates to Romney....he's there to protect him.

Other races do not depend upon who I vote for for POTUS.There seems to be a lot of confusion on this.
I check (on the web) numerous county clerks offices from many states.
It appears that the only thing you need to be concerned about is if you mark a straight party ticket and then write in the name. Once, you write in a name, the straight party ticket becomes invalid. So, just mark every selection individually and there should be no problem.

I'm not going to bet on anything. I'm going to keep working to refuse the nomination to Romney. Since he doesn't have the undisputed delegates for a locked-in nomination, it is in the realm of the possible.

Bottom line is, when you go into the voting booth in November you have 2 choices. Cast a vote for the GOP nominee or for Obama. There is no other outcome possible. A vote for anyone other than the GOP nominee is a vote for Obama. Decide who you intend to help elect, and decide wisely.

If Obama wins odds are he serves another four full years. Sure, but if Romney wins, we are guaranteed to have a left winger in the White House for at least 8 more years.

I’m voting for an actual candidate, just not Obama OR Romney.
Virgil Goode will be on our ballot.
