But - this is a deal breaker for me. If the Tea Party wishes to associate with ass-clown Ron Paul - then to hell with them.Think about this: what could possibly stop Romney and give us an open convention? The last conservative is out. If everybody who wants NOT-Romney votes for Ron Paul, maybe there's a chance Romney won't get the needed number by Tampa. Not a very big chance, but a chance.
I voted for Gingrich even though he didn't campaign in my state, but the only chance left NOW to stop Romney is Paul. That's strategy not preference.

Climbing down in the gutter never works. You're not talking strategy - you're talking about compromising your true conservative vlaues in some sort of Reverse Operation Chaos. Which as we know did not - and does not work.
And as I plainly stated - Paul is in the campaign as a spoiler for Romney. Paul is a useful idiot to prop up the Romney campaign. Vote for Paul? Sure - same as voting for Mitt. And if any Tea Party aligns with RoPaul - it only weakens the conservative grass roots movement.

the only chance left NOW to stop Romney is Paul. That's strategy not preference. In many cases the other, now dropped out, contenders are still on the primary ballots. Because they dropped out too late to be removed. A vote for them is as good a vote for Paul... if everyone in a given state votes for the same one. Doesn't have to be the same one in each state. It's just necessary to take the delegates away from Romney. But voting for Paul puts in Paul delegates, likely of similar mind. Remember the convention nominally writes the party platform. Normally it's a platform approved by the nominee... but that might not be so much the case if it was a brokered convention.
