Axelrod: Tea party ‘reign of terror’ blocked immigration reform
The Hill ^ | April 22, 2012 | Cameron Joseph

David Axelrod, a top campaign adviser to President Obama, said comprehensive immigration reform had not occurred during Obama's first term because the Republican senators who'd backed it during President George W. Bush's presidency were not willing to stand up and work with Obama.

"A lot of Republicans in Congress want to cooperate, they know better, but they are in the thralls of this reign of terror from the far right that has dragged this party to the right," Axelrod said on CNN's "State of the Union" Sunday morning.

Before people get disheartening with the choice they have, look at what you accomplished in the past. It wasn't an election that killed the McCain/Kennedy Immigration Reform(sic) bill, it was millions of people taking a stand with one voice and saying no.

The politicians cared more about their re-election than they did this bill.

That should be a lesson for the future, politicians can be manipulated by the people if you know how to strike.

I draw a clear distinction between politicians (in it for re-election and money) and activists (like Obama) who will 'press forward', public be damned.

Tea Party was just a portion of the outrage.

“A lot of Republicans in Congress want to cooperate, they know better, “

Yeah, like Dick Luger. Hopefully he’ll be in forced retirement a week from today.

But in the Tea Party in DC, SanFran Nan was busy hallucinating swastikas, so I guess the Tea Party, is a good faux whipping boy for all the leftys ... They need an object of hatred to keep them alive these days...

It is not those who want to preserve the America of the Fathers, who engage in terror tactics on Immigration, or any other major issue. The terror tactics can be seen in mass rallies of folks, many not even here legally, threatening any who dissent from demands that would--if granted--completely alter what we have always considered American culture.

The McCain/Kennedy bill, reflected the folly that George Bush articulated in his 2006 address on the subject. Here are his words, and my response: Answer To President Bush on Immigration. Which of us, do you think had the better argument?

Maybe the unions are quietly working to stop amnesty behind the scenes. The unions can say one thing in public and say something different to thier stooges in congress privately. The rank and file union members know that illegals drive down wages. The congressional black caucasians also know that illegals hurt Holder’s peoples’ wages. 0bama and the democrats could have rammed amnesty through congress in 2009 but they chose not to do it.

They need an object of hatred to keep them alive these days.

Since the Jacobin Revolution in France ("Reign Of Terror" et al.) the Left has always depended upon hatred. The Left's cause has always been a war on reality; a war on what actually works in human affairs; a war on the reality of human nature. They have always appealed to hate; always to man's basest traits, the darkest side of human psychology.

They have always accused others of the mindset that drives their own supporters ("Projection," etc.).

Right now, Obama is back on the campaign trail--on a campaign where he is assisted by this fellow Axelrod. And to what purpose & by what methodology? See The Blame & Envy Cocktail--Demagogues' Path To Power.

If Conservatives allow themselves to be intimidated by the lies of those attacking our heritage, we will surely go the way of the pre-1917 Russians or pre-1933 Germans, when confronted by similar menaces.

Can anyone point me to a poll showing that “immigration reform” is one of the top issues for Americans? I’d settle for one that shows “immigration reform” being on the voters’ radar screen.

You know they are losing because they are just making Sh!t up. Every attack made by the Obama campaign is rooted in complete lies or falsified statistics. They have nothing to run on. Nothing.

As said on Rush a few weeks ago, the Obama campaign’s entire strategy is to tell lies in hopes that a majority of voters are stupid enough to believe them.

I wish the ‘RATS would explain to Americans how “immigration reform” is supposed to help Americans. That would be a real hoot to watch. “Immigration reform” benefits only freeloading foreign nationals looking for a free ride on the backs of American taxpayers and commie ‘RAT politicians looking for retarded voters with very little intelligence. PERIOD!!!

uhh, Axelrod spent quite a bit of time last year running down hookers who may have known Herman Caine.

Leastwise that's what he told his old lady.

She's probably got 'em in a jar on the kitchen table by now.
