Well, a friend of mine brought her adopted Russian children to visit me this past weekend. She adopted them when they were 3.

He is a 6 ft 2 200 lb 14 yr old with the mentality of a 5 yr old.
He has a heart of gold and is kind and gentle and loving.

I understand your sentiment, but I would point out that Down's kids and others who are developmentally disabled are often the sweetest, most trusting people on the face of this earth.
