“That’s a whole other issue.”

It is not at all; Americans are breeding like Europeans now because we now face the same economic uncertainties they’ve had for decades. If people are afraid they won’t have a job in six months, how can they commit to a lifetime of children?

“Dude, based on your post to me I think you are on the wrong website.”

Maybe you are; you aren’t facing some basic realities.

I’m just standing for the ‘working guy’ who has seen his 20 years of loyal devotion to a company stripped away while the fat cats walk off laughing with their pockets full. Greed forcing slave wages on the desperate. Is that what you want in America?

I despise unions. In fact, I loathe them.

When a person negotiates with a company for wages and benefits, chances are the terms will be beneficial to both. When a mob (backed by the power of government) coerces a contract through the threat of destroying the business, the terms may be unrealistic or (in the words of the left) unsustainable.

That's what I don't want in America.

I agree completely. There was a time and a place when unions were needed but that is in the past. All we have now is greedy workers who feel they are owed something. I moved from the north because so many jobs were closing down and a lot were union shops. I have scabbed a few lines being a machinist. I had no remorse about it at all. The way I looked at it was if I wasn’t there running production while these fools were on strike, the shop would relocate or hire others in their place or possibly even go bankrupt. I have even been contacted to scab this very picket line we are talking about but presently have a good job. Though it is less money then I would make there, it is permanent. I am not greedy as these workers are. The economy is rough and is going to get worse. Be thankful you have a job and get your lazy butts back in there.
