That's a damning indictment of the way "we" raise teenagers, IMO. Seems to me a teenager is more than smart enough to realize that robbing Peter to pay Paul to do nothing is a bad idea ... the Churchill quote has always seemed bizarre to me. I and my high-school friends were always at odds with our leftist history and "social studies" teachers.
Well, you *are* raising teenagers to be responsible adults. Most people do, but we have a large slice of the population who are not. Think of the Paris Hiltons who never learned responsibility until a judge finally threw her jail (after the 24th offense). Or the actor Will Smith who gets paid $20M per movie for basically being himself. $20M for just being there.
It seems to me the stories of conservatives are similar. Many were naive when young and then they matured.
