I'm tempted to say "yes and no." Yes in the fact that they helped to form a nation that, on paper, would never be ruled by evil people because of the balance of powers. But that was before amendments were added or struck down in favor of dirty politicians, such as the one where Senators were appointed and not elected.

No in the fact that the writers, for the most part, were not Godly men and they in fact wanted to set up a government much like we see forming now but inadvertently set up a government that was viewed by many as being a foundation for a nation to experience true spiritual growth, not the heresy out there now.
