I don’t know what to think of the dueling polls, but it looks like Deb Fischer is overtaking Don Stenberg as the conservative alternative to RINO Jon Bruning. Stenberg is a good patriot who fought the good fight and deserves our gratitude, but I believe that conservatives in Nebraska need to rally around Fischer, who has the potential to be a conservative rising star in the party and the Senate.
Bruning’s opponents should be using his past, indefensible comments about affirmative actions against him. He said that when a woman or black person ‘take the place’ of a white male in college, then we’re all better off.
That’s just an amazing statement. I mean, yeah, it’s true that the GOP is worthless in fighting racial preferences. I mean they are worthless. But even so, and even with the increasing diversity-worship rhetoric from Republicans, I still haven’t heard an alleged conservative say something quite like this (except maybe Jack Kemp).
