I don’t get it. Why would they take the chance that someone would be seeing tapes of such talk and bust them? I can’t figure out private conversations, if these were private.

Evil powermad narcissists could tape themselves talking about revolution “for posterity”. So they could play them after their revolution is successful. Or to jack up their stupid followers. Or training tapes for their followers. I can see many reasons why they would tape stuff like that.
