There’s a new rule in American politics: Republican senators and Senate hopefuls who are too close to Washington and show streaks of moderation are toast — or most certainly poised for a grilling of their lifetime...

Change takes time...incrementally is often the only way to reach the goal.

Amen, Amen, And AMEN!

Speaking of "14 Senators, anyone remember the "Gang of 14" who (7 of which were SLIMEBALL, RINO's) saved the Rats' bacon by defusing the Republicans in the Senate's toying with using the "Nuclear Option?"

REMINDER:

The Rats had been using the filibuster to prevent the confirmation of conservative appellate court candidates nominated by Bush.

In the Republican-controlled 108th Congress, ten Bush judicial nominees (Miguel Estrada, Priscilla Owen, Charles W. Pickering, Carolyn Kuhl, David W. McKeague, Henry Saad, Richard Allen Griffin, William H. Pryor, William Gerry Myers III and Janice Rogers Brown) had been filibustered by the Party of Surrender and Defeat

Republicans began to threaten to change the existing Senate rules by using what Senator Trent Lott termed the "nuclear option" and which Republicans tended to call the "constitutional option" would have changed the rules eliminated the use of the filibuster to prevent judicial confirmation votes.

UP STEPS the Gang of 14 which (unfortunately and sadly) staved of the chances for the Repbuli-tards to finally show they had a pair and put the Rats in their place.

The 7 DESPCIABLE, RINO's:

Lincoln Chafee (R-RI) (no longer serving)

Susan Collins (R-ME)

Mike DeWine (R-OH) (no longer serving)

Juan McPain (R-AZ) the worst or the worst!

Olympia Snowe (R-ME) (not seeking reelection)

Lindsey ("Light in the loafers" and McLame's butt-boy-protege) Graham (R-SC)

John Warner (R-VA) (no longer serving)

We will never be rid of McCain, but we can work to remove Graham-nesty and the other Maine Beeatch Sister, Collins, which should in itself send a message to the rest: "Cross the aisle and consort/support the enemy at your own risk"

Bobby Jindal is more of a regular GOP moderate than is realized outside of LA. He definitely an insider and this being La. that means he is somewhat to the right of the regular GOP. His education reforms are doing one good thing, they are going to seriously damage the teachers union and that is a big chuck of the Dems fund base. So he is is smart and crafty something most regular GOP types are not.

I feel the same way about Harry Truman. I think Harry would have a hard time recognizing the DemocRATS of today.

“Please, anywhere. Find me a democrat who’s not a socialist.”

I think those are the ones we often call Republicans.

Tip O’Neil? I remember him as a leftest House Speaker, who cooperated with Reagan only because Carter had almost ruined the country.

Well, there you go; almost unwittingly you have perfectly described what a moderate Democrat is. A Socialist who temporarily suspends his cause in order to guarantee his self interests. Once their immediate demise has been secured against, they'll go back to destroying America's future and re-writing its past.

The incumbents can protect themselves by voting with the Tea Party and not trying to “reach across the aisle.” A point not noted in most of he aricles I’ve read about Lugar’s loss is that, as of Thursday or Friday last week, he was runnning only 10 points behind Mourdock, but lost by 22 points, an additional 11 points, on election day. On Monday night Dick Morris, appearing on Hannity’s show, pointed out how Lugar favored the frightful LOST treaty and Rush followed up by leading with a powerful attack on Lugar on Tuesday, mentioning and emphasizing the same thing. Moral of the story for pubbie incumbents: stick to the conservative line and win; don’t, and lose.

I’d rather we focus our efforts on taking out John Boehner.
That’s a message they’d find impossible to ignore.

I’m going to send our RINO Chambliss an email just to let him know he’s toast and then two years later Isakson the other RINO. There is no govt power grab they won’t vote for.

Problem is, Romney needs to capture the mushy middle and the votes of the political ignoramuses who inhabit it.

This is the math:

Every vote that Romney LOSES from the right is only ONE vote lost. We’re not going to vote Obama and Third Parties are not a threat.

Every vote Romney GAINS from the center is a net TWO vote gain - he gets the vote, Obama loses the vote.

This is what keeps driving the ‘Pubbies further and further left - the center goes left and the ‘Pubbies have to follow to pick up some of the votes.

And the leftward drift? That is the power of the media (”news” and entertainment) and the addiction to other people’s money.

Actually, upon reflection, there are lots of democrats who are not socialists. They’re communists.
