When I was young I ran across some info about the Soviet famine of the 30’s. I wanted to verify it so I went to the library and found confirmation. I asked my parents about this and they, educated and very decent people, were clueless. A lesson was learned. Take nothing for granted.
[ Step 1. Refuse to acknowledge the event is public.
Step 2. Refuse to purchase their stupid permit.
Step 3. The second someone claiming jurisdiction sets foot on your property demand to see a duly constituted Warrant of some kind.
If no Warrant is produced proceed to Step 4.
Step 4. Inform said gent of the State they are trespassing on private property and that force, including deadly force, will be used on them if they do not depart immediately.
Step 5. Escalate as necessary. ]
I mean they would have had better luck calling the event a “potlatch” and saying that they are taking the people’s money and redistributing it as food. When the Health department starts whining, start calling them racist.

What I wouldn’t say in this thread, because it would surely have gotten me banned, was what I’d do if this little bitch had shown up on MY place and started dumping bleach on MY food in front of MY guests.

I'm in the construction industry. Thanks to private projects basically disappearing in the last few years, the only real jobs out there for most tradesmen are government jobs. Plus there are so many bidders and bids are so low that someone doing a good job will likely end up losing money. Then I'm the one that has to deal with the “winners”. These days they are either completely incompetent, try to get by with sub-par work, or argue over every nut/bolt to squeeze some actual profit out of the owner(usually some gov’t agency, aka the taxpayer).
Most other industries are following a similar path as the government expands and becomes the only game in town.
Looking back, I wonder if there ever was such a beast. It was only after I came on the internet did I found out that Tokyo Rose was innocent but railroaded by the media. She was pardoned by Gerald Ford in 1977.

And my previous post sounded too much like I supported that, which I don’t. I feel like people know they are taking a chance when eating “unregulated” food, and people should be allowed to do so. Government shouldn’t spend so much time protecting us from our own choices.
I read this at least a year ago. Every detail is the same.
You will eat State beans and nothing but State beans.
You will eat State beans and you will like them and not complain.
They could EASILY circumvent the search warrant. 1 call to the DNR. They can go anywhere anytime they want. And bring the police in if they “feel” laws may be broken.

None of these people want their name in the papers. Threaten to sue, call the news, and complain to their bosses. Video tape them until they leave. Tell them they are trespassing and have no right to come to the event as they are not on the list. Have a burly friend assume duties of “party security” and escort her ass off the property.
