I know you get brownie points for being 1/16... My mother and aunts were 1/16 as BOTH my grandparents were, but they didn’t ever want to take advantage of it...
My ancestry is a mix of British Isles, Native American, and African (real slave blood, Obama).
Never once in my life have I ever even thought about trying to scam up on some sort of government mandated affirmative action or special entitlement program. I wouldn't even know the first thing about how you go about that.
