So let's see...Mitt Romney's first three actions after his competition drops out.

Names an openly gay man as his primary spokesman.
Critizes the Boy Scouts for not allowing gay troop leaders.
Claims he is against pro marriage, even though he personally implemented gay marraige in Mass as governor, doing more for gay marriage than Obama has done as president.
Look at the actions, not the words. Words get etch-a-sketched. Actions tell his values.

“Names an openly gay man as his primary spokesman.”

FALSE: Grenell was hired to speak for Romney on national security/foreign policy issues, not as his primary spokesman. He has since resigned.

“Critizes the Boy Scouts for not allowing gay troop leaders.”

FALSE: Had a different opinion but did not criticize. In fact, he praised them. “I believe that the Boy Scouts of America does a wonderful service for this country. I support the right of the Boy Scouts of America to decide what it wants to do on that issue. I feel that all people should be able to participate in the Boy Scouts regardless of their sexual orientation.”

“Claims he is against pro marriage, even though he personally implemented gay marraige in Mass as governor, doing more for gay marriage than Obama has done as president.”

He obeyed a court order, on the last possible day. Should republican pro-life governors be blamed for allowing abortion in their states as well? Which one stood up to the court and said I will not allow Roe vs Wade to control my state?

“Look at the actions, not the words.”

He then went on to push a constitutional amendment to ban homosexual marriage and held a rally at the courthouse when the legislature held up considering it.

“Words get etch-a-sketched. Actions tell his values.”

He banned state officials from marrying homosexuals from other states to keep MA from becoming the Las Vegas of homosexual marriage. He is faithful to his wife. He is a capitalist not a marxist like Obama.

The Boy Scout situation with Romney is particularly problematic considering that the Mormons use the Boy Scouts as their youth program.

President Obama, now that he can be sure he won't face effective opposition on the homosexual issue from the Republican Party (i.e., Gingrich or Santorum) has apparently decided to make his own base voters happy.

In other words, he's aggressively shoring up his left-wing militant base voters who will be the core of his re-election campaign.

Why do I have to admit the Democrats are doing things right and we aren't? This is a pattern of shoring up the base that the Republican Party should have been following, and painting the Democrats as out of touch with most Americans to the right of San Francisco (which is almost everyone). Now we have two candidates, one openly pro-homosexual and the other with a track record of compromising on homosexuality, despite the fact that the overwhelming majority of American voters ***OPPOSE HOMOSEXUALITY!!!!!***

This should have been a winning issue for Republicans and we're losing for no good reason at all.
