Nicely written, but even after reading the replies, I’m still confused. Who is trying to take over FR?
People routinely criticize FR, especially the management team. Everyone always reminisces about 'the good old days' of Free Republic. The complaints by one person who communicated to me outside of FR, caused me to answer him or her in the way I did, and got me thinking about the rest.
Which is how the post came to be.
