Interestingly, those with psychopathy require more stimulation for parts of their brain to react. So when they hear emotionally charged words, such as “rape” or “blood”, their brains don’t react the way a normal person’s brain does.

I remember hearing that, now that you mention it. I guess I could look it up, but what part of the brain is it?

I've always thought that psychos have no empathy or emotional connection to other people. That would seem to be non-functional middle brain. Scary thought: a reptile with a very large cerebral cortex.

Amygdala is one area under study - That’s your lizard brain (meaning it is part of the brain found in lower life forms)

I also read somewhere the pre frontal cortex could be involved.

Look up Adrain Raine - he’s one researcher who’s done a lot of work in this area
