Mine was a 1971. I bought it in 1977 (when I was 21). It has 40K miles and was already a rustbucket, but it ran and I got it for $100.00. Within a week I had to spend $150.00 for a clutch. Put about 30K miles on it within 18 months but it got me around. Until it fell apart. :-)
“has 40K miles” should have read “had 40K miles.” I don’t still have it, needless to say!
