So many warned that in the wrong hands the Patriot Act would/could be abused. The 'sunset' was overturned because we failed to neutralize the threat in a timely fashion.

And now it is in abusive hands. There is a huge lesson to be learned and a lot of damage to be undone, that the election in November isn't going to fix...

You're right - any thing we do to protect ourselves can be turned around by Democrats and used against us. God, democrats are awful.

The same with the war on drugs and poverty. It seems like
every time our government declares war on something it
winds up costing us our rights and freedoms. And both
parties seem to be in on it.
