...on the other hand, there is the Supreme Court... Could very well be three new judges in the next term. Do you really want Obama to still be in there nominating feminazis, muslims and marxists? As much as I loathe Romney, I have to remind myself that the Supreme Court is even more important, and that Romney if elected can and will be taken to task by conservatives to make sure he nominates conservative judges. Bush’s Miers moment would pale in comparison if Romney dared do anything to the contrary.

About 2/3 of the judges appointed by Romney in MA were liberals, many were Dem judges. Don’t count on a liberal like Romney appointing conservative Constitutionalists to SCOTUS. No way.

I want NEITHER OF THEM!

A REVOLUTION AT THE CONVENTION!!!

So basically its no different than what Romney nominated as governor.

I do agree that there will be 3 appointments. I think Scalia is good for another 8 yrs (til 80) and you KNOW he will hold out. Ginsberg may retire, but who else do you think might? Any nominees still have to be confirmed, and I would expect the next senate to be MUCH less accomodating to Obamao, not sure about Willard though. I think its a wash for the next 4 years for nominees with Obamao already having spent his lib pick tolerances, and the [R]'s might let Willard get away with a Miers-like pick. Bottom line IMO is that SCOTUS appointments will not be a factor in the next 4 years, but will be HUGE in the 2016 election - that's why its absolutely essential we have a Conservative in the WH (and a majority in Senate) in 2017.

I had that same thought. The Romney-would-choose-better-SCOTUS-judges-than-Obama argument, though, only goes as far as Romney’s judicial pick history as Gov of Mass. I heard out of 36 judicial nominees Romney picked 9 Republicans and 27 Dems, and I think it’s a reasonably educated guess that the 9 Republicans were RINOs.
